not true...I like everything (except country and r&b) from Madonna and disco to heavy things like Pantera. The beautiful part about heavy music, like Korn for example, is the passion it displays. A way to release your anger through music without causing physical harm to anyone. It is a way for the artist to portray their feelings and emotions rather than keep them bottled up.

outer space

Postby bj » Mon Dec 08, 2003 3:55 pm

oooo, yes. have been at many outdoor rock concerts around bay area and always imagine that the sounds are driving into outer space, going light yrs. out to be available for listening eons hence. also the more lyrical rock songs, vibrating outward forever....
tend toward the haunting lorena mckennitt (such as the visit cd), irish singer mary black, and older van morrison plus the classic rock & folk nowadays.

you like madonna too? i LOVE madonna! :D she is coming out with a photography book (52 pictures of her) in january. i am gonna pre-order one from her site. i have gotta have it!! i dont really listen to a lot of heavy stuff. well, i do sometimes, but usually just on the radio. i dont own any. i kinda like country music sometimes. i really like wynonna mostly and the dixie chicks were ok. i have their first 2 cds. other than that the only other country cd i have is martina mcbride (i have her christmas cd)

i know what you mean about expressing feeling and emotion. i think bjork sarah mclachlan are my favorites for that. they write really passionate lyrics. it's like when you listen to thier songs they paint an image in your mind.
